Blog ideas and an early studio portrait
First order of business: blog ideas! I saw a lot of you had music added to your blogs, so I added some too. It's an episode of the classic radio show Suspense. This particular episode starred Jimmy, and aired in 1949.
I added a TV schedule to the sidebar on the right, I was going to make a detailed post about the TV listings, but seeing as it's the last week of May, I thought I'd just post it next month.
Another idea was doing "Photo Fridays" because it sounds good together, ha ha, where I would post a Jimmy picture every Friday. I would still be posting pictures throughout the week, of course, but Fridays would be reserved for pictures. Just a thought. Maybe I'll start that this week.
I also thought of doing a "movie of the month" and "poll of the month" thing, but I'm still deciding on those. If I decide to do either and/or all both, they'll start next month. I was also thinking of posting links to some of Jimmy's movies on YouTube in the sidebar, but maybe I'll just post them as seperate entries. I'll think about it.
Whew! I think that's it! I just wanted to touch base with all of you so you can know what's going on here in the 'technical' department. ;) Any feedback from followers would be much appreciated, as I want this blog to seem as much yours as it is mine, and I would like you to be involved as much as possible to make this an active place for Jimmy's fans. Now, on to jimmy.

This is a very early M-G-M publicity photo taken probably around 1936. I personally think this is one of the most adorable photos of him I've seen. :)
I promise I'll make more detailed Jimmy posts soon once I get this blog off the ground more, but for now, I hope you're all enjoying the pictures!

Happy Memorial Day!
Wishing you all in the U.S. a happy early Memorial Day from Jimmy and me! :) Don't forget to remember Jim along with all of our other coregous men and women armed service veterens tomorrow.

(I know that wasn't much of an update, but I've got lots to post about tomorrow! I've got a truckload of ideas for this thing.) Also, a big thank you to everyone who started following this blog! :)

Grand opening night!
Hello--and welcome! I've decided to start my own blog. I'm sure I'll be writing to an audience of two - myself and whoever stumbles across this site.
This blog is dedicated to my favorite actor, Jimmy Stewart. "Why Jimmy?" You ask. Well, I'll tell you:
It all started when I was in the 3rd grade. We watched It's A Wonderful Life in class. I had seen the movie before, but this time I specifically remember it making an impact on me. Not necessarily the movie, I mean I thought it was a good movie, but I just couldn't seem to take my eyes off Jimmy. He seemed like the perfect gentleman and the most handsome man I had ever seen. (Who knew I had that much taste at the age of 9? *wink*) It was then that I always looked forward to watching IAWL around Christmas. Then about maybe 3 years ago, I started getting into classic television, one of those shows was The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. It was on every Sunday night, so I would always enjoy watching it. My parents suggested I watch one of his movies since I liked the show so much. So, the next time my Mother went to the library, she picked me up a copy of Rear Window. I noticed Jimmy was in it and I remembered that he was also in IAWL. So I watched Rear Window with my parents and I absolutely loved it! I thought it was a great movie. Jimmy especially, made an impression, and yes, I thought he was just as handsome in 1954 as he was in IAWL. So I started doing research on him and watching more of his films. And now here I am today. Starting a blog in honor of my favorite actor. My life has been made so much better by discovering Jimmy and his wonderful movies, and I don't think I'd be the same without him.
I hope to share this joy with other fans and possibly introduce Jimmy to new fans as well. I'll post pictures, my film reviews, television schedules, news, etc. A few stray Classic Hollywood/interest items may also sneak in once in a while, but other then that, this blog is strictly Jimmy-related. I hope you all enjoy the blog! :D
I'd also like to wish Jimmy a very happy 101st birthday (which was yesterday, May 20.) Happy birthday, Jimmy!
